Always on the move, we've been traveling for years. For appointments, meetings, trips. By train, or on two wheels. In winter and summer.
But we didn't always feel comfortable in our classic wardrobe. So we invented one!
Timeless pieces with tailor-made finishes. But systematically revisited to absorb our daily accelerations.
Here we explain the 5 rules that make our changing room unique.
rule n°1: BREATHABLE, NO GREASE FIRST LAYERS.
The transpiration is the #1 drawback of a classic wardrobe! Especially when it's made of cotton.
They maintain an ideal temperature (to limit perspiration) and dry very quickly. No more feeling of fabric sticking to the skin!
Elles froissent peu. Et sont anti bactériennes. Elles ne retiennent pas les odeurs de transpiration. What else ?
règle n°2 : 3RD LAYERS ARE BREATHABLE
Two-way zips are provided under the armpits of our car-coat or our blouson-blazer.
You activate them whenever you want.
Invisible, they can remain closed when you walk slowly. When open, they accelerate the evacuation of moisture during exercise, and prevent the body from overheating.
Bonus here are 5 rules to follow to avoid sweating on 2 wheels!
-
use smaller gear ratios. Pedaling should be easy!
-
anticipate the end of your journey: take your foot off the gas a little before you arrive, to bring down the temperature
-
n’utilisez pas de sac à dos ! C’est lui qui vous fera inévitablement transpirer le dos. Privilégiez les sacoches, les paniers ou les remorques
-
choose clothing made from wool, tencel or linen. These materials optimize moisture absorption and neutralize perspiration odors. Avoid cotton and polyester.
-
choose protective clothing that is breathable and ventilated. A zipper or air vents will circulate air and lower your body temperature.
règle n°3 : OUR PIECES HAVE A SPECIFIC CUT AND LENGTH
For us, there's nothing worse than pulling on your pull to try and cover your lower back, or having a shirt peeking out of your pants.
We add just the right amount of fabric or knit to the front and back, and even to the sleeves. So you're protected from the cold - and the ridiculous - in every circumstance.
You'd have to be a cyclist to be aware of this drawback. But we validate all our parts by testing them extensively.
rule n°4 : OUR 3RD LAYERS ARE WEATHERPROOF
We love living outdoors. And if we want to encourage cycling, we need to protect urban cyclists whatever the weather. Rain doesn't get any wetter in the city!
We use bonded membranes rather than ineffective water-repellent treatments. They resist 20 meters of water on our blazer jacket, thanks to the German fabric Sympatex®. It's the responsible equivalent of Gore tex®. And 10 meters of water on our car coat.
Or a removable pad on our blazer jacket to protect your breast
rule n°5 : OUR CLOTHES KEEP UP WITH THE MOVEMENT
Clothing must adapt to our lifestyle. To make cycling easier, we've come up with some life-changing tips.
Our pants for the urban cyclist have a gusset at the crotch to prevent them from tearing when extended too far. They have invisible zipped pockets so you don't lose your keys, change or phone.
The merino wool we use is water-resistant: one swipe with a sponge and the splashes are gone. It's also stretchy, with no elastane.
The combat wool® provides 10 times more abrasion resistance to limit premature wear on the crotch and elbows.
Our bike jacket and our car coat have reflective strips under the cuffs and in the collar to be seen at night. And an invisible zipped pocket on the forearm.
On the car coat, two-way zips at the front and ease slots at the rear allow pedaling in freedom.
The urban cyclist will recognize the importance of these "tricks".
